What the Nomination Recognizes
The Most Innovative Agent category honors agents who are adapting to a rapidly changing industry from the rising role of AI and new technology to evolving client expectations rather than agents ranked purely on transaction volume. For Mattiza, that recognition carries particular weight.
"As realtors, we are always ranked on actual volume, but to be recognized for grit and hustle feels a lot more rewarding," Mattiza said.
The Story Behind the Nomination
Mattiza is candid that the road to this nomination didn't start from a place of momentum. Earlier this year, she found herself deep in the planning process for 2026 and struggling with the mental load of figuring out her direction.
"If you asked me back in March how my business was, I was struggling mentally," she said. "I was in my own head about how I was going to plan my year."
Rather than chasing the next tool or trend, Mattiza returned to what has always driven her business: relationships. As a solo entrepreneur , operating as her own CEO, CFO, and CMO with more than 16 years of experience in the Austin-area luxury market, her business has been built predominantly on referrals, repeat clients, and multi-generational relationships within the community.
"After some vent sessions, strategizing, and keeping my head down, I focused on the basics — maintaining relationships," Mattiza said. "It's the core of my business and always has been, but I found creative, innovative ways to reconnect and create meaningful connection."
Redefining Innovation in Real Estate
For Mattiza, innovation isn't defined by adopting every new piece of technology it's about how an agent adapts.
"It's no secret the real estate industry is ever-changing, and the use of AI and all the tools is exponentially rising," she said. "Being innovative is adapting to the change, being ahead of the curve, and learning to pivot when needed. It's being creative, thinking out of the box, and not conforming."
That philosophy shows up throughout Mattiza's business from her background in interior design and custom home construction, developed during her time in Santa Barbara, to the way she continues to build trust in a hyperlocal Hill Country market she has called home for more than two decades.
